What we believe

The Bible is God's inspired, inerrant Word. Ps. 119:105, Tim. 3:15 - 17

God is one Being, yet three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deu. 6:4, Mat. 28:19

The penalty for those who sin is eternal death. Ezek. 18:20, Rom. 6:23

Man is full of sin from conception. Ps. 51:5, Eph. 2:1 - 3

Jesus' death on the cross has paid for everyone's sins. Isa. 53: 4- 6, Rom. 3:23 - 26

God saves us through faith in Christ alone. John 3:16 Eph. 2:8 - 9

Saving faith is a gift of God, not a work of man. 1Cor 12:3, Eph. 1:19 - 20

Through Baptism, God forgives and saves us. Mark 16:16, 1Pe. 3:21

Infants also are to be baptized. Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38 - 39

Through absolution, God forgives sins. Matt 18:18, John 20:23

The bread and wine of the Supper are the very Body and Blood of Christ given for forgiveness. Matt. 26:26 - 28, 1Cor. 11:23 - 29

God established the office of the holy ministry to preach the Gospel and administer these Sacraments. Matt. 28:16 - 20, Eph. 4:11 - 12

God gives this office only to men. 1Cor 14:34 - 35, 1Tim. 2:11 - 14

Believers can fall away from the faith. Luke 8:13, 1Tim. 1:18 - 20

God alone keeps us steadfast in the faith. 1Cor. 1:4 - 9, 1Jo. 5:6 - 13

Upon death, believers' souls are taken to heaven, while those of unbelievers go to hell. Luke 16:22 - 23, Heb. 9:27

On the Last Day, Christ will come again, all the dead will be raised, and the final judgement will occur. Matt. 24:30 - 44, 1Cor. 15:51 - 52
